- What to write about (instant access): what do I have to say (about anything), what is distracting me this week, what am I struggling with, what could help somebody, what is something I can't stop thinking about
- Look for the synthesis between being alive and writing words on a paper
- My 12 favourite problems
Prompt 1: What is the definitive answer to the question that people ask you most often? (~1000 words)
- To me: how do you do all that you're doing? How do you (have the energy or time) keep up?
Prompt 2: Why do you want to write?
- Discover new ideas/new ways of thinking about the world
- Connect with people who may share these ideas/ways of thinking
- Offer help to others (who would like some help)
POP Writing: make your writing sing
Personal, observational, playful

- Observational: your readers haven't noticed this pattern (or had this insight) but you have
- "I noticed a trend", "Look at this trend", "The best-kept secret is", "If you turn your head", "You don't know this but", "You haven't seen that..."
- Playful: make the reading experience fun and enjoyable by bringing out the kid in your reader
- Play on words, silly phrases, sensory words, storytelling, jokes/puns/riddles, characters
Establishing a personal writing ritual:
- We should always strive to write a piece that is good enough, and then level up that "good enough" standard until we nail what "good enough" means.
